 Accredited Online Law Schools

The American Bar Association which is the apex body for law schools and lawyers does not accredit online law schools. So technically speaking there are no accredited online law schools at all in the US. However, online law degrees do have value in states like California.

While all the states in the US permit law graduates only from accredited law schools to take up the bar exam, California alone allows students with 60 college credits and 864 hours per year of law classes from even a non-accredited online law school to take the bar. They can also sit for the bar in other states once they practice law in California for five to seven years.

Online Law Schools

Abraham Lincoln University
An associate's degree or higher from a college or university of approved standing is the basic requirement for admission to Abraham Lincoln University. First year admissions take place in fall, spring and winter.

LSAT is not a requirement for admission. After completion of the course and upon graduation, students obtain a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree. Students must however pass the California Bar Examination in order to practice law in the state. They can then practice law without any restriction, just as any other member of the Bar of California. They can join or even form law firms.

You can contact the School of Law Admissions Office at 213-252-5100 for more information or visit the ALU website
